The Escape

The Escape is a work that unrolls itself as a motion picture. In the opening bars the anger and despair of an unfair imprisonment sounds. A melancholic  section is followed by a short misterioso depicting a possibility to escape. In the following fast movement we hear the actual escape with pursuit. The escape is a success but the road to true freedom has just begun. Awareness, hope and remembrance of the imprisonment follow each other. The true freedom is then heard once the closing choral sounds at its full glory. With the recapitulation of the opening bars the work closes with a bright fortissimo.
